On the day before Thanksgiving, I am thankful for being able to be a part of the lives of those that I photograph – being able to make portraits that capture this life’s moments as they are is an amazing gift.   The lucky shot below of a five day old baby smiling is proof of how awesome this job really is…

I’ve watched Mike and Danielle grow as a family for awhile now.  I had photographed Mike perform with his band, their wedding (the first wedding I ever photographed!) and then portraits of them at their restaurant, The Vegan Yacht.  So, when their first baby was born, I was super-excited to get to photograph him as well.

Here is the latest addition to the Wood family –  baby Otis.  My daughter says he has the best name ever.  I have to agree.

After having photographed over 140 weddings to date, I know that I will always love what I do because there is something special and unique to every wedding, every couple – and in this case, the family.  Nicole and Stephen chose to have their beautiful 4 year old participate in the wedding ceremony.  She acted as flower girl, and also received her own ring when they exchanged theirs.   It was one very sweet moment of many during their beautiful wedding day…

One of the most epic photo-bombs!!

Thank you to all of the wonderful vendors that helped make the day awesome:

Venue:  Chapel Dulcinea

Flowers:  Wild Bunches

Cake:  Dream Bakery

Hair:  Kenya Kirk

Reception:  Maggiano’s
